MAGIC MILLIONS - WELL BRED WINNER TO GO UNDER THE HAMMER

Wednesday's impressive Sunshine Coast winner Star Cure will go under the hammer at next month's Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.

A member of the powerful Bryan Guy stable, Star Cure made strong late ground late in the 1400 metres race to get up and score a thrilling victory.

The lightly raced three-year-old filly is catalogued as lot number 1182 and is a member of the Royston Stud draft.

The Mossman filly is a beautifully bred prospect at the sale. She is a three quarter sister to outstanding group winners Pure Energy and Segments.

Pure Energy, a three time winner at two, won the Reisling Slipper Trial and was second in a Golden Slipper.

Her full sister Segments won the Group Two Schillaci Stakes and was second in a Group One Oakleigh Plate.

Pure Energy has produced a colt by Redoute's Choice and is believed to be in foal to star international sire Street Cry.

Meanwhile Segments is the dam of three foals - by Encosta de Lago, Flying Spur and Bernardini.

The National Broodmare Sale will be held at the Gold Coast from May 30 to June 2.

The selling extravaganza commences at the Magic Millions complex on Wednesday (May 26) with the first session of the National Weanling Sale.

There are four weanlings in the catalogue by Mossman.

The National Sale continues with the popular yearling sale - where 16 youngsters by Mossman are set to go under the hammer.
